Infectious Disease

Infectious diseases are conditions that are brought on by microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. Our bodies are home to a wide variety of organisms, both inside and out. In most situations, these are not harmful and may even be beneficial; however, under certain circumstances, some of them can cause disease.

It is possible for certain infectious diseases to be passed from one person to another, and others can be contracted by consuming tainted food or water, or by coming into contact with organisms that are naturally present in the environment.

Fever and exhaustion are common symptoms of an infection, but the signs and symptoms can vary depending on the organism that is causing it. Infections that are not life-threatening may respond to rest and home treatments, while infections that are life-threatening may require hospitalization.
